Commissioner congratulated us on celebrating the 7th anniversary of POSTLAN and expressed his happiness over the unity and integrity of SC and ST Lecturers. The podium was handed over to our president Mr I V Rao, and then the president asked our General Secretary Mr Saidulu to present the annual report. Mr Saidulu has presented various achievements that the union has taken up and put forth before the commissioner the promotions of our members which are pending and asked to resolve at the earliest.

He emphasized that we have the responsibility not only for ourselves but also to our community because our brothers are backward.

Mr Venkateswarulu, Joint Secretary, stressed the importance of issue presentations to higher authority. He said “our commissioner is ready to solve all issues once it is presented in credible manner”.

At last commissioner has started his address saying that he has two desires.

After the meet, we, the members of POSTLAN, have made the following issues on the discussion and found many positive answers:

1. Is a separate union necessary for SC and ST lecturers?

2. Why few of our members are unable to say as SC or ST and showing not much interest to join with us.

3. What are the responsibilities of our union? And how it is different from others.

The meet decided to have at least two zonal trips by the CEC every year to encourage the members and discuss their individual problems in order to bring it to the authorities concerned and to get it solved. Principals have come forward to reimburse the expenses incurred for printing diaries from next onwards.
